Study on ??Seokgoksango(à´ÍÛߤÍÃ)?? by Lee-Gyujun(ì°Ð¤ñÛ)(¥±)

Abstract
This article looks into Lee-Gyujun(ì°Ð¤ñÛ)¡¯s life course, Confucian thoughts, and philosophical ideas on the Medicine of Boosting Yang(åÕ), by thoroughly translating and analyzing selectively the second half of Lee-Gyujun(ì°Ð¤ñÛ)¡¯s ??Seokgoksango(à´ÍÛߤÍÃ)??. Translating his works is said to be necessary to fully understand the significance of the boosting-yang theory[ݦåÕÖå] in the historical landscape of Korean medicine, not to mention comprehension of the medical contents itself. Through this translation and analysis, first, it is found that Lee-Gyujun(ì°Ð¤ñÛ) had visited Seo-Changyu(ßïóÇÐ¥) for over 10 years and had great influence on qi(Ѩ) monism. Second, within the Gihohakpa(ѲûÉùÊ÷ï), Lee-Gyujun was much closer to Horon(ûÉÖå) rather than Nanron(ÑãÖå). Third, during his days, he became well known across the peninsula through his medical fame. Last, he wrote down the unknown manufacturing technique of dried ginger[Ëë˹].
